Here They Are: UNFRAMED!

August 22, 2014

Our goal with the Unframed artists series’ helmets was to allow an international array of fresh art to make a statement on helmets, and of course, on heads!

Next week is the Eurobike show in Friedrichshafen, Germany, and so the debut is upon us. To celebrate, we’ve gathered together the first three Unframed artists: Sandra Ramirez, who won our Nutcase helmet design contest earlier this year; and Ray Moore, and Todd Standish, the next two artists we’ve collaborated with on Unframed.

We’re glad to see that the Unframed series is starting to garner a bit of press attention. We love to see fresh art and the artists who make it getting a bit more encouragement and acknowledgement.

So here they are, in order: Sandra Ramirez’ Locombia helmet; Boogie by Ray Moore, and Cloud Nine by Todd Standish.

Locombia

As Nutcase founder Michael Morrow said recently, we’re introducing these three artists’ series helmets along with thirteen other fresh designs, all to be available in the spring 2015 season.

“Sixteen brand new helmet designs for 2015 – that is at a scale we’ve never done before,” Michael said. “We’re deeply committed to getting more people to protect their brain, and what better way than with more options for people to gravitate towards.”

Ray Moore

In addition, at the Euro bike show you can see Ramirez, Moore, and Standish in artistic action as they paint three large panels at our Nutcase booth during the show. These new works will be auctioned off to benefit our partner World Bicycle Relief.

Check out what Ramirez, Moore, and Standish have to say about making live art in front of thousands of show attendees.

And come by – Eurobike Booth FG-WB101 or next month at Interbike booth 1079 – to get a glimpse of fresh art being made and to take a look at the 16 new helmet designs for our Gen3 Street line.
