Position: Product Graphic Designer (Full-Time Permanent)

Description:

Nutcase Helmets is a leading designer of stylized bike and skate helmets headquartered in SE Portland. We’re a nutty, creative bunch looking for a talented and motivated individual to join our team as our graphic designer of product.

 

The Graphic Designer of Product role is responsible for the execution of graphic design projects across our product lines, designing graphics that support the Nutcase brand, meet product brief requirements, support product line positioning, and reflect or drive trends. The graphic designer of product is also responsible for all product collateral, including the creation of manuals, interior helmet warning labels, exterior box stickers, hang tags, and product-related sales tools. This role includes but is not limited to the following duties:

  • Creation of product graphics for all product lines across multiple retail channels (including generating design ideas and designing to briefs)
  • Creation and file management of product peripheral materials (manuals, stickers, hangtags, etc.)
  • Participation in the review and approval of product samples
  • Actively managing workload against deadlines, effectively prioritizing competing needs and communicating progress
  • Cross-functional communication with Sales, Marketing, and management
  • Infrequent domestic and international travel


Minimum requirements:

  • 3 years professional experience as a graphic designer, preferably designing consumer goods and packaging (portfolio required)
  • Four-year degree specializing in Graphic design (Equivalent combination of education and/or training may be substituted for degree.)
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite
  • Problem-solving ability; interest in product engineering and manufacturing and how graphic product design impacts or facilitates it
