Electric Bikes LA was founded by Eric and Andrea Busch in July 2008, at that time one of only three electric bike stores in the country.

Eric was looking for an alternative way to commute to work besides his car and with the beautiful beach bike path in mind, he found an electric bicycle that allowed him to get exercise without getting to work sweaty from his 24 mile round trip.  The bike was such a hit with fellow employees, friends, family and neighbors that Eric’s wife Andrea decided to quit her job in Aerospace to open Electric Bikes LA.  “Our goal is to educate people on alternative forms of transportation for commuting, exercise and to just have a great time,” Andrea says. “The best part of our job is seeing the smile on peoples faces when they get back from a test ride!”

Electric Bikes LA has a wide assortment of bikes…

Their shop is in El Segundo, a small community along the beach in Los Angeles County. They love being the only bike shop in their community and therefore they service all types of bicycles from road to mountain to BMX.

“Not only do we sell electric bikes, but also folding bikes, cargo bikes, electric conversion kits, kick scooters and accessories,” Andrea says. “One of our customers’ favorite accessories are the Nutcase helmets and all their fun colors and designs.
