Quick Review: Metroride Technicolor
On a recent trip to the gorgeous TREO Ranche, Nutcase supplied helmets to the ten riders and asked them for their impressions.
“Technicolor is inspired by my love of colorful stripes,” said Nutcase founder Michael Morrow. “Especially thin colorful stripes, and not just colorful, but an eclectic mix that is punchy and bright as well as muted and neutral.”
German consumer organization Stiftung Warentest has developed a unique standard for testing and scoring bicycle helmets. Surprisingly, of the 18 helmets Stiftung tested recently, only three received a “good” rating. We’re proud that Stiftung Warentest gave the Nutcase Street the top rating for safety, saying: “The Nutcase does best in accident protection.”
We’re striving to make helmets that are as safe, comfortable, and cool (in the many senses of that word) as is humanely possible. With this generation of our Street and Metroride helmets, ‘A Perfect Fit’ is not hard to get. But because human noggins come is all shapes and sizes, it’s not a foregone conclusion either.
How do Nuu-Muu and Nutcase help you along the way?
Nuu-Muu and Nutcase are run by some pretty amazing and inspiring folks. Not only do their products help me by keeping my brain safe and my bod looking good but it’s really the people behind the product that keep me stoked and inspired. Both companies are all about seeing the world just a little differently, having a little more fun, and not taking yourself too seriously while still being very practical.
We feel it’s about time to start whetting your appetite by giving you a tiny sneak peak of what’s new for Eurobike 2015 from Nutcase.
First and foremost will be the next iteration of our Unframed fresh-art-on-fresh-helmets campaign. We will have two booths at Eurobike – one to show off our new products (see below for details), and the other to showcase our three international artists making live art daily all three days of the show.
It’s not too late to gear up for new summer adventures, or to return to a tried and true summer pastime. So we thought we’d round up our best and most useful blog posts of the past few weeks, while adding some new tidbits from the wide world of web. Enjoy the true start of summer this weekend whatever you do. Have barrels of fun, be safe and be a little nutty. Summer starts here, and now.
The beauty of the impromptu picnic is that it’s just that: unplanned and spontaneous. Of course, more elaborate picnics are always worth the effort. But mostly, just strap on the helmet, load up the picnic pannier, get on the bike, and go.
To help celebrate fathers for the upcoming Father’s Day (Sunday June 21 in North America), all we had to do to find 5 fab dads wearing 5 fab helmets was step out our front door and cruise the nearby neighborhood!
